John Ingram is a dear friend who has positively impacted so many people through his philanthropy and involvement in the city of Nashville.  A successful businessman, he has used his energy to invest in his community.  His latest passion is bringing professional soccer to the city.  This interview also touched on several subjects, and as always, John shared with great depth and authenticity.

John R. Ingram was named Chairman of the Ingram Industries Inc. Board of Directors in April, 2008, having served as Vice Chairman of the Board since 1999.  He is also Chairman of Ingram Content Group.

John is also active as a volunteer in a number of educational and charitable organizations. He is chairman emeritus of the board of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center.  He is a member of the Board of Trust of Vanderbilt University.  He also serves on the boards of Montgomery Bell Academy and The Harpeth Hall School in Nashville.  He is Chair of the Western Governors University Tennessee Advisory Board.  He was named by former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean as Co-Chair of the Mayor’s Green Ribbon Committee on Environmental Sustainability in 2008-2009. In January 2011, he was Chairman of the Inaugural Committee for Tennessee Governor-Elect Bill Haslam. In addition, Mr. Ingram actively supports Vanderbilt Athletics and Currey Ingram Academy.

Mr. Ingram is married with four children.
