My in-depth conversation with the beautiful and inspiring Rolanda Holman (find her on Twitter and read her book!) on her brother Pervis Payne’s wrongful conviction of murder and subsequent time on death row in spite of overwhelming evidence of his innocence. This woman is such an avatar of light, kindness, and clarity and deeply moved me with her grace. One of my all-time favorite shows.

Rolanda Holman, affectionately known as Ro. Though she hails from a small town in Drummonds, TN, Ro has dreams to impact the lives of people all across the globe. After discovering that her mission in life is to help others encounter their purpose, walk it out, and live a fulfilled life, Ro adopted “Ro On Purpose.”

She wholeheartedly believes that people can live life to their fullest potential. One of her favorite scriptures is Joel 2:25, “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” This scripture reminds Ro that when you submit to God’s purpose, He will restore the years lost and catapult you into destiny.

Ro is a 2004 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and her biggest inspiration is her husband, Cary Holman. They have enjoyed over 16 years of marital bliss and are excited about the rest of their forever. She and her husband reside in Murfreesboro, TN with their sons, Colin and Yuri, and their nephew, Corban. In addition to being an adoring wife and loving mother, Ro is a faithful member of Believers Faith Fellowship (BFF) under the leadership of Pastor Jason and Lady Barbara Scales. She serves as a Life Group Facilitator and is a member of the Ministerial Staff.

What people love most about Ro is her undying passion and fire for purpose. With the help of God, Ro plans to travel the world and light fires of purpose within everyone she encounters.
