This is a powerful show on the recent tornado in Nashville with Robbie Jones (find him on Facebook). The Music City is always close to my heart and was my home for over 20 years. There is no place like it for me, so my heart told me to jump in here and try to bring awareness to this tragedy. Robbie Jones was generous enough to come on and share a little of his time even after his place of business in East Nashville was destroyed. He is both powerful and emotional here.

So let’s band together and support the beautiful relief efforts underway. Here are a couple of ways to make a difference.

Robbie D. Jones holds a Bachelor of Architecture from UT-Knoxville and Master’s in Historic Preservation from Middle Tennessee State University. A professional historian who manages the Nashville branch office of Atlanta-based New South Associates, a cultural resources consulting firm, Jones is the author or co-author of several scholarly books and dozens of articles about historic architecture as well as the former director of preservation at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage.

Jones currently serves as past president and treasurer of the Southeast Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians and is heavily involved in Nashville’s preservation community. A Tennessee native and longtime resident of Nashville, Jones recently completed an award-winning restoration of a 1954 Ranch house.
