A heartfelt exchange with environmental activist Heather White the Founder & CEO of OneGreenThing. Heather has more than 20 years’ experience in nonprofit management and policy advocacy. We also talk about her brilliant new book, also called One Green Thing, and what all of us can do to make a positive difference in this world.

Heather is also the former President of Yellowstone Forever, the nonprofit partner to Yellowstone National Park, Executive Director of EWG, and Director of Education Advocacy at the National Wildlife Federation. She also served as Counsel on Energy and Environment to United States Senator Russell Feingold (D-Wis.) and an associate a Bass, Berry & Sims law firm.

A recount attorney and presidential campaign staffer for Al Gore in 2000, Heather has been named “One of the Top 100 Women in Wellness” by MindBodyGreen and recipient of the Women in Sustainability Leadership Awards. Currently serving on the board of several national nonprofit organizations, Heather graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she was Managing Editor of the Tennessee Law Review.

She received her B.A. in Environmental Science at the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar. Heather lives in Bozeman, Montana.
