The brilliant Dr. Mishy Lesser returns to dive back into the subject of indigenous history and the role our systems play in perpetuating the toxic structures. We also talk about “the view from the boat,” as well as several other life changing paradigm shifts. Mishy is simply brilliant and the warmth of her empathy and soul really comes through as she shares from her vast well spring of wisdom.
Mishy Lesser, Ed.D., is Emmy® award-winning researcher and the learning director for the Upstander Project and Education Fellow at the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center at the University of Connecticut. She is co-director of the Upstander Academy, a weeklong professional learning experience for teachers and museum educators that focuses on genocide, decolonization, and developing the skills of upstanders.
Currently Dr. Lesser spends much of her time researching and writing The Teacher’s Guide for Bounty. She is a Circle Keeper and has been featured on WBUR (Boston) and PRI/BBC’s The World. Mishy was a Fulbright Scholar in Ecuador and spent 12 years learning and working in the Andes.
