“I think busyness is the new drug of choice. It’s worse than over the counter medication, alcohol, or anything else. Because you can spend your life ‘schedules and never take the time, to take stock of what you have or have really intimate relationships or to get in touch with what is really meaningful.”
An expert in the world of trend and style, Charcy Evers (find her on Twitter and Instagram!) started her career as a model with Elite Model Management where she worked with top fashion designers, stylists, photographers and publications all over the world.
This gave her incredible insight into the industry and she moved to the commercial side to run North American Sales & Marketing for Jil Sander, managing clients such as Barneys, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Holt Renfrew and top specialty retailers.
It was a natural next step when she became a Trend Consultant / Analyst for Peclers Paris, the leading agency in trends, style and innovation. It was here that Charcy was able to utilize her distinctive background as she helped to guide and inspire creative teams, from concept to market, for companies such as The Gap, J.Crew, Nike, Nine West, Fossil, Microsoft, Estee Lauder, Target, JC Penney and Pier One, among many others.
With a voracious appetite for discovering all that is new and emergent in the world of fashion and design, Charcy soon realized that her point of view was what set her apart. So in 2011, she started her eponymous company and became her own “brand.”
Today, Charcy’s business has evolved beyond trend forecasting for apparel, beauty, home and consumer goods companies. As an expert on Wall Street, she also advises the finance industry on the bottom line impact of product assortment and trends at publicly traded retailers. And, has added a personal styling component to her business, translating her expertise in fashion and trends to people and helping them Curate their own Style.
Regardless of the sector, Charcy Evers is known for her business acumen just as much as she is for her fashion prowess, and for a personal yet professional approach, to everything she does.
