A highly inspiring and intriguing conversation with the essayist Arabella Thais on her experiences with extraterrestrial life while living in Costa Rica. This is a beautiful and deeply moving exchange that really opened my heart.

In Her Own Words…

Hello, I’m Arabella. I thought about writing this bio in the third person, but abandoned it immediately. It felt too neat; too orderly, somehow. And I am far from that. So, here goes –

I hail from London, England, but live in Costa Rica. I came to watch the fireflies dance in the evening, and never left.

I am a writer, academic, speaker, and host of the Sacred Wisdom podcast.

It is the big questions that interest me the most – questions around the meaning of existence, the nature of consciousness, and our collective evolution. Synthesising academic disciplines and creative mediums excites me, as does bringing together visionary, impact-driven people, because of the potential that lies therein.

As a writer, I focus mainly on short-form essays and poetry, including spoken-word performance. I am also in the process of writing a non-fiction book that traces the awakening of the Soul.

I am currently pursuing academic research that seeks to provide substantive evidence of a cosmic consciousness through the synthesis of mathematics and poetry. I recently presented my thesis at a conference held by The Society for Chaos Theory and Non-linear Dynamics in the Life Sciences. It was extremely well received, and I have since been asked to write for several prestigious academic journals.

When Martin Heidegger said that ‘Language is the House of Being.’ I am not sure he realised the full potentiality of that statement. You see, I argue that literature is just as important as mathematics and science in our quest for understanding the fundamental nature of the universe. I argue that Poetry is the missing key, and that it shows us that cosmology and consciousness are inextricably interconnected.
