What an honor to welcome back the inspiring and thoughtful Andom Ghebreghiorgis (find him on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook!) to the show to talk about his ongoing run for the United States Congress. We also cover other topics like the corona virus, the state of our nation, and how we might emerge from all of this in a better place.

Andom Ghebreghiorgis is a first-generation American of Eritrean descent from Mount Vernon, NY. He is a former NYC middle school special education teacher. Andom is running for Congress in NY’s 16th District because he could no longer reconcile the disinvestment he saw in the communities he grew up and taught in with the trillions of dollars the US wasted on endless wars and unnecessary prisons. Andom wants to invest our public money in high-quality public education, affordable housing, Medicare for All, a Federal Jobs Guarantee, and a Global Green New Deal.
