David Hopkins (find him on Facebook, Medium, and Twitter!) writes a little bit of everything and a whole lot of some things. His work includes the short story collection We Miss All the Great Parties and the burlesque memoir The Wild and Wayward Tales of Tammi True. David has been a regular contributor to D Magazine, Smart Pop Books, and Fanboy Radio. He has also written comic books and graphic novels in a variety of genres. David is currently writing his first (prose fiction) novel.

Dallas Observer recognized him as “Best Local Comic Book Writer,” and the American Library Association honored his work in their annual “Great Graphic Novels for Teens” list. His essay for the Oral Fixation Show was featured in Huffington Post. For twelve years, he taught English and Creative Writing at Martin High School where he served as a writing coach for interscholastic competitions. He now works as the senior copywriter and content strategist for Imaginuity.

David lives in Arlington, Texas with his wife—artist and designer April Hopkins, daughters Kennedy and Greta, his dog Berkeley, and his other dog Moose. He once wrestled a mountain lion.
